Orthodontics

Malfunctional occlusion is not only an aesthetical problem but more importantly a health problem. Until recently it had been thought that occlusion problems could be treated only at a young age. Nowadays thirty- and forty-year-olds and older people can have their occlusion corrected.

Young children malfunctional occlusion correction is performed by means of removable appliances, which are perfect for treating occlusion problems during developmental period. Such appliance uses physiological forces, which can be beneficial for a correct development of occlusal system. Result of a thoroughly performed treatment are always permanent.

In case of adult patients non-removable appliances are used. Such appliances give perfect results. After such treatment, patients will have a beautiful smile and their grin will show perfect, correctly placed and well formed teeth.

Many people however do not feel comfortable to wear non-removable appliance. The best solution for such patients will be an appliance with less visible brackets, made of transparent, clear sapphire. They can also use a lingual appliance. This kind of orthodontic appliance is placed on the inner side of teeth (unlike other appliances from the lip side), which makes the appliance completely invisible.
